I was just wondering how, since the nationwide rollout, people thought
Sprint's SMS service was working. After waiting for so long (and
putting up with that stupid Short Mail), has it been worth the wait?
Has it grown to be more reliable than when it first launched?

For me it's the coolest SPCS option of the year. It seems to be damned close
to bullet proof and works well across carriers. On a scale of 1 to 10 I'd
give it an 8 or 9.
All that's left for me is to see if I can figure out the T9 logic --- cause
it sure doesn't seem intuitive, to me at least.

What phone do you use with it? Do you feel that the pricing packages
they offer are reasonable? I am considering coming back to Sprint after
being away for about four months.

Sanyo 7300 (a very cool fone).

Ya -- both ways you look at it. The lower end plans just got more
minutes --- and while the $100 plan got trimed to 1800 mins (from 2000) if
you take all the add-ons that come free (rl, aal, vision etc) it seems a
pretty good deal.

Well, if it was a coverage issue that was the problem before I'd make sure
it's been fixed ---- service seems much improved, perhaps a result of the
IBM influence?
Other than efts that you might be facing I'd recommend SPCS --- no sweat.

All I can say is 2 years after leaving Pac Bell (now Cingular) for Sprint I
finally feel like I have a functional phone thanks to SMS, I was so used to
it back then.
