    Wonderful (NOT), thats

Flexible & Fair SprintPCS Free & Clear

    $65 for 600 minutes. $65 for 1100 minutes

    $50 for 450 minutes $50 for 700 minutes

    $40 for 400 minutes $40 for 500 minutes

    $70 for 700 minutes

    $90 for 1100 minutes

Unless you know you only go over one or two months a year and use less
than 300 minutes other months, the Flexible & Fair Plan could be neither
can cost you a lot more.

In which case it could be a MAJOR PRICE INCREASE.

Ahh but isn't having a choice what's it all about? There are folks who
could benefit from this plan. I certainly wouldn't and would never
pick it but there are folks who will.

But that is exactly who it is being marketed to, the low end users who
may go over their minutes one or two months a year. It is in no way
meant to replace an existing plan. It is also not meant for high end
users who use up several hundered to a thousand minutes a month, it is
not meant for the business customers, etc.

They're testing this out, and if it goes well, you'll see similar
plans with a higher bucket of minutes for the base.

You cannot compare what it *would* cost *if* they went over one or two
months to someone who is on the higher end plan.

Good post. One more thing- the block of minutes, at most, come to 10 cents
a minute. Overage on most other plans are 40 cents per minute. That is
where the cost savings is- if you go over by 25 minutes, you would pay $2.50
    instead of $10.00.

Certainly there may be a few, but it hardly warrants the Press Release
like its the greatest thing for cellular users ever.

My guess is that other companies will follow suit with something
    similiar of their own.

If it catches on, certainly. My guess is that too few people will see
    this as a good plan.

I know several low minute users that would find this plan great ...
because they wouldn't worry about vacation usage. This plan really is
only useful for low minute users.

    It's always about the money.
I guess for some people it could prevent a $1000 bill, but for most it
    wouldn't be of help.

I retain my opinion that this "Great New Plan" is no big deal for most
people, but also don't disagree with most of what TechGeek says.

This from the same genius who berated me for, in his own words,=20
claiming the 7300 has no flash.

You're two hours late for your midnight run of insults.

You remain the disgrace of SprintPCS.

I notice you still can't face up to your own mistake. You tried to=20
slam me for claiming, in your words, that the 7300 has no flash.

It doesn't, BTW. But you thought I deserved criticism for saying so.

I didn't say that anyway, but you made a point of bringing it up for=20
a full week. Now you can't even quote yourself saying it.

That may be right. But I would argue it's a big deal for simply one=20
reason: it changes the discussion, so to speak.

There's been a lot of talk about Cingular's rollover minutes. It=20
might not work, but I think it's a terrific attempt at answering=20
that: Why roll them over if you never have to pay for them in the=20
    first place?

It might not work, but I like the plan in the sense above.
