At the San Francisco - Market St. SPCS store today, I picked up a new
brochure entitled Digital Roaming from Sprint (MAY04 LIT67002). Here's
my retyping of what it says:

    Digital Roaming from Sprint
    Now, get more coverage

Sprint is out to change wireless for the better. As part of our
efforts, we're now offering Digital Roaming Coverage for Digital
    Dual-Band Sprint PCS Phones.

In these coverage areas, you'll enjoy digital call quality. In certain
areas, you'll also have access to other services, including Caller ID,
    Call Waiting and Voicemail.

    Sprint Nationwide PCS Network

The Sprint Nationwide PCS Network, reaching over 240 million people, is
the nation's most complete, all-digital wireless network. It enables us
to offer more advanced services, such as Sprint PCS Vision, to more
    people in more places nationwide.

    Off-Network Roaming - Digital

These off-network roaming areas allow you to use your Digital Dual-Band
Sprint PCS Phone to make a call while off the Sprint Nationwide PCS
Network. This coverage, along with the Sprint Nationwide PCS Network,
reaches more than 273 million people.

Some services, like Sprint PCS Vision, are not available in these areas.
Usage in these areas will result in additional per-minute roaming and
long-distance charges where applicable. See the Service Plans Guide for
    details.

from Sprint? Just ask a Sprint PCS Sales Representative or visit
    sprintpcs.com.

The brochure's map looks like the usual dark green (SPCS) and light
green (digital roaming) network map, but the light green areas are
smaller, with more white areas of no digital roaming coverage, compared
to the nearly solid gray of the "Expanded Voice Coverage" map on the
Free & Clear brochure (reaching more than 280 million people). There
are white areas in Maine, southern NH, northern VT, north central PA,
eastern WV, much of KY, northern MI and its UP, northern WI, northern
MN, eastern MO, bits of MS & LA, much of UT & NV, southern NM, eastern
OR, and parts of SD, MT, ID, AZ, WA, OK, CO, CA .

No, I don’t have a link to the map or the brochure. Maybe someone else
can find one. But I did see that the Help feature on the website has
been expanded to many more index entries, including digital roaming.

It's *roaming* - what do you expect? BTW, liar, you didn't plonk me. I believe
you directly replied to one or two of my posts before claiming you HAD plonked
    me.

    Hey Frank,

Yea, you are right about the help on the sprint website. It pointed me to
    the right place!

    Plans & Coverage : Network & Roaming : Off-Network Roaming

There you will find a link to the digital roaming map... Not that you need
one, but maybe someone else might want to take a peek.
