I am trying out Vision. I see I can download ringers. It seems to say that
it expires after 90 days. Does this mean if I download a ringer it will go
away after 90 days???

Yes, you get to keep the ringers/screensavers forever as long as you don't
delete them.

Then what does Sprint's "for 90 days" mean then, exactly?

They expire out of *online* storage in 90 days, as was already mentioned.

Since any image can be edited to become a screen saver, its NUTSO to pay for
screensavers.

Except if your phone goes bonkers and you need to replace it.

That's true Phillipe, in more ways that one, because you'd lose everything
else saved on that phone, if you didn't use any of the syncing software
products.

That's a really imprecise response.
I asked "Then what does Sprint's "for 90 days" mean then, _exactly_?"
This was in response to Eric's "Yes, you get to _keep_ the ringers/
screensavers _forever_ as long as you don't delete them."
A common interpretation of Eric's sentence would be: if you can
"keep them forever", then you should be able to _use_ them.
Because if you _can't_ use them, then why would you keep them?
And if you can keep _and_ use them, then why does Sprint
appear to imply that they're good for only 90 days?
And to Tim/Phillippe, the subject of this thread is "Ringers".
And I was only referring to ringers.

To free up their server space. The only place where the expiration takes
place on ringers is in your Content Manager folder. Once those 90 days are
up, they take it out of your Content Manager folder. The ringer does not
expire, while it's loaded up on your phone.

I'm new to cellphones but I was able to understand this pretty simply. If
my interpretation is correct, the 90 days means that if you do not
"download" the item from its holding area (ie: the Content Manager folder)
then you lose the ringtone, screensaver, etc. If you do download it to your
phone, then the 90 days means nothing. Sprint can't/won't come into your
phone and steal it back on Day 91. It's yours for the life of the phone or
until you delete it.
