Well, I bought a Treo 300 off of Ebay from a seller with 4000+ sales
and 100% positive feedback.
While waiting on hold for Sprint's tech support with the speakerphone,
after about 4 minutes the battery totally discharged and the phone
shut off.
I turned the phone back on, and the battery indicator showed full. I
was able to use the PDA functionality for a good 20 minutes, with the
battery not draining much.
So is this phone hosed? I didn't realize the battery was
non-replaceable. Caveat Emptor indeed..

If you didn't, make sure you perform a hard reset on the Treo. This will
ensure that you're not just dealing with a hosed environment.

Yup. That's the first thing I did
Seems like an odd battery issue.. you'd think if it discharged it
would just stay discharged..

Well, Circuit City replaced my first Treo 300 for random resets. The
second developed some short that blew charger fuses while allowing syncs
for as long as the charge lasted. The last one was replaced for a bad flip.
Buy a case, get lockline and be nice to it... It's awesome technology
that was almost ready for primetime.
