I just returned from the Sprint store. I am a current customer with a very
old LG TP1000. Looking to upgrade.
I saw 2 phones that interested me:
    LG 5225
    Samsung VI660

Can't decide. I don't need cameras or picture mail. Don't need walkie talkie
    connect.
What I do need is a good folding phone that has voice dial built in & good
    reception.
I go camping in remote areas a lot & many phones don't get service where I
    go (TP100 did).
I did notice a Sanyo RL7300 due to the fact it had a speaker. Kind of a cool
    feature but not a requirement.
Anyone care to help me narrow it down to one?
I know you see posts like this often but if you own one of these phones, I
would appreciate some feedback as the Sprint saleswoman was pretty dumb.
    Thanks,
    Scott

I bought a VI-660 and activated it on a second line last month. Google for
"Samsung 660" in this newsgroup and you'll see my glowing review of the phone
    - voice dial is the reason I got the phone and this phone simply has the
most advanced feature set I've ever seen (at least regarding voice dial
    capabilities).

    I love the phone.

The 660 has received good review here, as Steve points out. The 7300 has
received good review, even from our former resident troll Phillipe. Sanyos
(all models received in the past 2 years) receive higher ratings here, but
I'm thinking that more people have Sanyos, hence the higher number of
    reviews).

I have a Sanyo 5300, which has been a great phone, but the one thing I miss
on it, from my older Sanyo 4700 is the speakerphone, which is great to use
as a hands free device when driving.

I'd suggest you go back to the store, check out the phones that have
    speakerphone capability.

By the by, you may qualify for a $100 - $150 mail in rebate. Check out this
