I've had the phone for over 8 months and have been perfectly happy with
it.Only in the last month or so the problem started. The reception gets
very choppy and sometimes it drops the call. Other times i have to
hangup and call from a land line.
Since i'm on a family plan, i have 3 other phones in the house which
works just fine. When i am home and the phone starts to act up, i'll
borrow one of the other phones which works great.
The problem is not isolated to just my home, its everywhere.
I think the Sprint network is as good as or better than any other
cellular service out there. Hey, its wireless, it can't be perfect.
My problem is with customer service.

Well, I only have one cell phone so I have nothing to compare it to at
present, but my previous phone didn't have the best reception here. Then
again, it was really old (5+ years) so it wasn't exactly a benchmark for
comparision. Perhaps your VM4050 is defective, as opposed to the overall
model. You might want to take it into a store to be looked at, or for
replacement (make sure to have them transfer your #'s and data first if you
do this). I doubt that they'd let you trade it for a different model, but
perhaps they would do this if you insisted. Chances are that it would be a
low-end refurb though.
Sorry that I can't give you more specific advice but I'm not a technical
expert. I only responded because I also have a VM4050 and am fairly happy
with it.
Also, you're still responding to your own posts. Not sure why this is
happening.
Good luck.
