I posted this once before, but thought I'd give it a bump as
it's probably an interesting find for someone out there.

It was a fantastic phone two years ago, and since we only go
to Japan twice a year for a month at a time, it's got extremely low
mileage on it. It's in spotless condition. Unfortunately, the only
manual I have for it is in Japanese, but I may be able to answer some
questions about it, and there is certainly information on it in
    English on the Web.

The phone is the DoCoMo SO503iS, part of the "Digital MoVa"
series made for the company by Mitsubishi. It is the phone on the left
at the bottom of this page:

    http://www.nttdocomo.co.jp/new/conte...atnew0917.html

If your computer is set up to read Japanese, and you can, you
can see some of the specs on that page as well.

I'm just making up a price of $60, including USPS shipping,
but will consider any reasonable offer.

Please write if interested. Thanks, DGI

So... what led you to believe a phone usable only in Japan would be of
interest in a newsgroup for a carrier used only in the USA?

When I upgraded to the phone I'm selling this time, I sold the
previous one to a person who frequented this NG. I don't know what he
wanted it for - didn't ask. In Japan there are fanatical phone
collectors, so that's a possibility. Or he might have enjoyed
tinkering with it. The display resolution on this phone, for example,
    is terrific.

So the short answer is precedent.
