LG VI-5225?

I was at Office Depot today, and they have the LG VI-5225 for Sprint. I do
not see that phone listed on Sprint's site, and did not see it at the local
Sprint store.

Office Depot says it has Bluetooth. Is that just for a headset, or can it
sync to a PC/Mac via Bluetooth?

Here's what I'm looking for in my next phone.

1. Can sync with my Mac using the software that comes with the Mac (e.g.,
iSync).

2. Would like #1 to be via Bluetooth, but via a cable that connects to a USB
port on the computer is acceptable.

3. Can send SMS messages. My current Sprint phone is a couple years old,
from before they supported sending SMS from their phones. "Short Mail"
sucks.

I don't care about web access, or cameras, or PDA features beyond simple
contact lists and calendars, or games.

Will the VI-5225 do what I want? How about the other LG Bluetooth phone
that is in the Sprint stores? (PM-325?) I know it won't sync via
Bluetooth, but how about via a USB cable, with iSync?

If there is nothing from/for Sprint now that will satisfy my desires, I'm
willing to stick with my current phone for another year, if the prospects
are good that Sprint will have something then. Any rumors to that effect?

I'd say Office Depot is wrong. The only two Sprint phones with
Bluetooth are the Ericsson t608 & the LG PM-325.

I just bought a brand new t608 on eBay. I originally bought one that
was used and had trouble activating it, so I sent it back and bought a
new one.




Also, I really feel there's a scam on eBay concerning the t608 -- here's
what I think they're doing;

Selling a t608 in "excellent condition" with a "clear ESN". They even
post the ESN so you can check it with Sprint before you buy.

Then you purchase the phone and pay outrageous shipping (I paid $18, but
didn't notice the fee until AFTER I bid). Actual shipping cost was $3.50

So then the phone cannot be activated, so I send it back, but there's a
10% restocking fee.

Seller made $14.50 on inflated shipping fee, and $16 in restocking fee.
That's $30.50 and then he just goes ahead and relists the item and waits
for another sucker to bite.

And to follow up on Frank's post, LG makes no mention of bluetooth on their
website for that model ... http://tinyurl.com/557ss , whereas they do, on
the info sheet for the 325.
