Bluetooth is an electronic technology that the whole industry has been
working on. It allows different electronic gadgets to talk to each other
directly without being connected to each other using wireless airwaves.
It's not just for cellphones but a lot of other things like test
equipment, etc.
Hmm, maybe someday your tv can tell the refrigerator to open the door as
the commercial comes on and get the master a cold one.

Actually, the LG - 325 is a new phone. One of the first that will have the
capability to do OTA firmware upgrades. It's been rumored that future
upgrades will add more BT functionality ...

I just gave up my LG because i thought the BT sucked on this phone. It was a
great phone. Great screen, great design, very light, good battery for a
phone of that size, but it was so limited. I could not even exchange pic or
tranfer numbers from my iPAQ to my phone. When i did dail from iPAQ to the
phone it never connected properly and the calls would be dropped. Had I
known that possible upgrades would be available i might have not returned it
within the 14 days allowed. Now, my question is this...
Can I return the 2nd phone i got after i returned the LG phone if it's still
withing the 14 days of buying it? In orther words, does the 14 day
satisfactions guarantee restart every time you pick a new phone? And last
but not least, does anyone out there actually believe that the upgrades are
going to be available and that there will be increased capabilities between
lets say an iPAQ (pocketpc device) and the LG phone?
I wish this wasn't so complicated!

You might be able to return it, but I'm not sure whether the 14 days applies
for each phone, or all phones one might try ... As for the future of the LG
phone and it's programming, all it's been is rumors about Bluetooth, save
that SPCS has said the phone has the capability for firmware upgrades.

You may want to direct an email off to them from the web site to see whether
they can provide any clarification on both points.

As a follow up, and because my daugher uses an LG-325, I sent the author of
the PR an email. Received an email back within 5 minutes. Here's her reply
on top, along with my primary inquiry on the bottom.
The software upgrades you reference are not to add new
features/capabilities to a phone but to correct software issues that are
detected. If a software issue is detected, it will be pushed to the
phone automatically.
Thank you for your business.

Dear Ms. Tigges:
I'm emailing you are you were the author of a press release dated Jan.
6th - http://www2.sprint.com/mr/news_dtl.do?id=5181 .
My daughter uses an LG-325 on our account. I understand that this phone,
along with others, will have the capability for firmware upgrades OTA.
My question is, will SPCS be offering a firmware upgrade to improve the
Bluetooth capabilities, so that my daughter will have the capability to
sync her phonebook, pictures and paid for ringers to her laptop?

Re: WTF are the SPRINT BLUETOOTH phones?
bluetooth is a friggen joke that has been worked on for years and it will
never catch on in the US like it has in other countries.
By the time they "perfect" bluetooth other technologies will appear that are
better..oh wait that has already happened.
