Why doesn't sprint carry bluetooth phones?
It seems that A940 is the only sprint phone (PPC 6700 is too expensive)
that has blue tooth. A940 is not too cheap either. I am on a old retention
plan and I am happy with it. I do not care about vision, but in order to get
$150 rebate I have to sign up for vision because this is a vision phone. This
sucks.
Can I sync A940 with Mac?
I am seriously considering switching to Cingular just because of phone choices
with Sprint. Couple of my friends have Cingular and it has good coverage
in the places I frequently visit. Many phones carried by Cingular can be
synced with my Mac without any extra software.
Are there any other phone choices with Sprint?

They do; you listed several yourself!
The Treo 650 is, I believe, only $350 right now (full retail price) and has
Bluetooth. Quite a bargain!

Yeah, it does, but realize that often -- with the rebates -- you end up paying
less for the phone than Sprint themselves had to pay. Hence all the carriers
are have such policies whereby they want to insure you'll be around to profit
from if they subsidize the price of the phone for you. But hey -- you can
always switch carriers and keep your number these days, which was a major win
for consumers!

All carriers do not have same policy, I know with Cingular and T-Mobile
I can buy GPRS/EDGE phones with discounts and do not have to buy the data
plan.

I meant that all of them require a significant (1 or 2 year) contract with a
significantly discounted phone. I'm sorry I didn't catch your point about
being required to sign up for a data plan -- that is poor.
