A friend and I use a family plan. My name shows up on the caller ID for
calls placed from either of our phones. I asked at the Sprint store if
we could get this changed so that my friend's name shows up when his
phone makes a call. They said that is doable, and in fact that *I* can
do it from the online account management page on the web.
Well, I can't figure out how the heck to do it from there. Could
someone provide a hint as to where they've hidden this functionality?
(Or was the store confused, and thinking of the email address for the
phone, which I do know how to change from the management page?)

Re: caller ID when calling from phone on family plan
assign his name to his number in your address book.

Re: caller ID when calling from phone on family plan
I just did this. On the web site, send email to Customer Service requesting
the change of the Caller ID for your second phone.

Re: caller ID when calling from phone on family plan
The very best way to do this is to call 1-888-211-4727 and go through
all the prompts, when it asks why you are calling say 'wireless web' it
will direct you straight through to tech support. This is the
department that is supposed to make these sorts of changes. I work for
the e-mail part of sprints customer service, and per policy we really
are not supposed to make this sort of change, we are supposed to refer
people to tech support for it.
