    Most definately windows mobile.

Personally, I'd rather have a phone that doesn't look like a 70's walkman
than have the ability to read word/excell files. But then again, I'm one
of those throwbacks who uses a phone to do voice communications primarily.

Have you actually USED a Palm 700p? It comes with DataViz Documents-To-Go,
and I find it superior to Pocket Word/Excel. Not that the poster asked, but
the latest version even allows you to edit PowerPoint slides natively; you
can only view them -- or as Microsoft says, "practice your presentations" --
    on PPC.

What exactly do you think makes MS Word/Excel Mobile better?

To be fair, Palms do them w ll with third party software (i.e. "Documents
to Go") but I'm definitely a WinMo guy...

I have absolutely no issue using my Treo 650 to view Word and Excel files
via Docs To Go. That being said... more apps that are cheaper and in my
opinion written better, the solution seems obvious.
