I don't like what Verizon's doing to these phones on their network, not
to mention that Sprint will have them long before Verizon.

The question I have is whether or not you can force roaming onto Verizon
with the HTC Pro and HTC Diamond?

I know that some others have said that Sprint's coverage isn't such a
big issue on some phones because you can force them to roam onto other
    CDMA carriers.

I'm in an area with very poor Sprint coverage, and unless it's possible
to force roaming on the handset then I can't use Sprint service. For
data it's fine, as I would not be using it from home, and in most metro
areas Sprint isn't as unusable as it is in Silicon Valley. I mainly care
about Wi-Fi anyway, as I wouldn't pay a lot for a data plan.

As long as roaming does not contstitute a big portion of your voice usage
month after month, you'd be fine. Data roaming appears to be a different
story- I read somewhere that data roaming can only contstitute a few
    hundred MB of usage.

I'm pretty sure that forced roamining is available on all Sprint phones.
