well, thought i let the forum know ... i found some other options.
PHONEFISH doesn't seem to work with my sanyo 8100 and MAIL2WAP is
really nice, but you have to enter pop account, username and password,
which can be really annoying on a cell phone... well, the winner is
TAGTAG (http://tagtag.com)! you can set up pop accounts on tagtag.com
and then just point your browser to http://tagtag.com and login. i
chose a short username and password, so that the login doesn't take
long (bookmark the login page...). within a few seconds you will see
your mail folders on your web account. you can read, reply, reply to
all ... really easy! try it.
again, i know that sprint has something where u can check outside pop,
but this is an independent very easy to use page, which you could even
use on other phones or when u decide to leave sprint...

Re: email via your phone
I know this is a sort of backward way, but I have an email account which
will let me forward ( to I believe 5 different accounts) one of them I
forward to is my sprint phone email account--biggest problem is that I
have to delelete the emails from a regular computer( even a laptop thru
vision)

sure, there are several ways to do it ... i happen to have an email
account that i really like. and checking that account instead of
forwarding etc. is the easiest and best long-term solution to me. i
have many other email accounts, whihc just have a .forward file to
that account. and that is the one that i want to check.

try tagtag.com! you check your email (which seems to be just linking
a web-page through a pop port) and if you want to delete the email, it
will delete it right from your pop server. no 2 accounts or some
other stuff. the tagtag account just seems to serve as a tunnel and
will display whatever you have on your pop account. so you will not
run into limited number of emails, limited mailbox space, limited
attachment size etc. all the limitations are with your pop server and
- at least in my case - are not really limiting me ...
