unlimited PCS to PCS

I am thinking about changing my plan, and I would like some clarification.
Regarding the "Unlimited PCS to PCS Calling" feature, if I am reading the
information correctly, if I (in Calif) call someone in New Jersey, and they
happen to also have the PCS calling plan, then the call is, basically, free?

Also, I have heard that Sprint PCS phones aren't very good inside buildings.
Someone I work with said her two sisters have to go outside to use their
cell-phones. I this true?

There was a post on this about a week ago, from somebody who had all
the details, but you are right to the best of what I have found--both
you and who ever you call need to have P2P for it to be free for both--
say you have it and the other doesn't--they are charged regular air
time--and you are really right about buildings--but also depends on how
far from tower, type of building--metal etc very bad. later

It depends on the strength of the area. ALL cell phone reception is
degraded inside a building, not just sprintpcs. If the reception is
barely strong enough outside, it won't be strong enough inside.

I'm sorry but I just couldn't keep from replying.....I don't think anyone on
the group
can tell you for sure if the two sisters have to go outside to use their
cellphones.......

On a serious note - I have pcs to pcs and as long as I am calling another
sprint pcs
phone I am not charged for the minutes used. It doesn't matter if the other
sprint user
has the pcs to pcs or not.

PCS to PCS rules. It doesn't matter if the other person subscribes to
PCS to PCS for it to count. The only drawback is that checking your
vmx counts agains normal minutes

If the other person didn't have p2p they would be charged right, would
make sense for both to have p2p if a lot of talk.

Exactly. If you have the PCS2PCS minutes, the other person doesn't, then
calls between you are free for you and "regular" for the other person.

Yes. I'm in New Jersey, and have called people with Sprint PCS phones
in Florida, D.C. and Oregon. They were counted against the unlimited
PCS2PCS minutes in my plan.

Depends on where you are. I get good in-building coverage where I am.
Where you are could be a different story.

Depending on distance from the cell site and building construction, you
may find that 1.9GHz services are attenuated more severely than 800MHz
services.

Walmart seems to be the best example...
