Customer Care offered me, a former customer with my own phone, a National
Plan with no roaming charges, 12 month contract or no contract cancellation
fee for an extra $10 per month. It is a better deal than ATTWS Digital One
Rate, or at least equal without losing my ATTWS somewhat dated Digital
Advantage Plan. And I won't go Verizon America's choice and lose my 12
    Western State Plan.

Anything I should know? I doubt if Sprint will offer me retention deals to
stay around, but it will depend more on good coverage and service than a low
    price with lots of time.

What you might do is take the added $10 for a month or so and see how
you like it--then call back and cancel (or pretend to) and see what's
offered--in that time frame, the number portability thing will kick
in--also, sprint for some reason always has better advertised deals
around Christmas--these circumstance would seem to give you seem to give
you best opportunity to make up your mind. By the way how many phones
    do you have?

    Re: No contract Sprint PCS

This is offered to me on a short term basis, exactly. I use two phones now
in two different area codes with allows usage at each place. Neither will
let me go across country. I sure I'll be back in two months. I don't want
to give up my regional Verizon plan, and local service is with ATTWS. I was
ready to go prepay till I was the new National Sprint plan in Office Depot.
I called Sprint, and that was the offer.

How many phones? Do kids count?

    Re: No contract Sprint PCS

Guess I'd have to make some friends with Sprint PCS. I quit sprint three
years ago. Most people I know quit before that. Service quit North of
Ventura, nothing on the coast and it wouldn't work in building. My ATTWS
does building fair, and Verizon is excellent. You can say metal buildings
and basements are tough tests, but I don't mind.

I'd have to ask if there is PCS to PCS nationally. I'm looking forward to
Verizon with the PTT phones. Nextel features with Verizon coverage.
