Unsoliciated instant messages

Is anyone else getting about 10 or more instant messages a day
unsolicited--I must have joined a sprint group or something or is this
normal? I want to ask how to make it stop, and I know somebody is going
to say why did you register--help

If you have msn instant messenger or have emails forwarded to your
account on your spcs phone it could be a factor/ Sprint has been trying
to work on this problem for a few weeks now, your are not the only one
with this problem. I f the your are still receiving the messages then
call at 8772114727 and ask for vision tech support so we can create a
ticket on this matter for it to stop

A few questions P.

How long has this been going on?

What is the content of these TM's?

Have you included your cell phone number in the past couple of days, to
anything on line or by cruising Vision with your phone? You could have added
yourself to a listserv, or message board accidently.

Who is sending these TM's? Do it seem to come from one source or through a
couple?

Do these TM's include any web or URL info? If they do, then you might have a
chance to unsubscribe from a web site.

Sprint has been trying to crack down on this, it is illegal.

Send me an email (take out NOSPAM) with the following information:

Your PCS#, who is sending it, model phone, and any other relevant
information.

Just make sure none of your other email accounts have been
auto-forwarded to your phone.

No ticket will be created, but the issue will be reported. May be
better to go that route instead of sending me the information.

Spamming like that on a wireless phone is illegal, and SPrint has been
cracking down on that.

p lane, call customer service from a landline phone (or a store's red
phone) and speak to a Vision tech. Have your phone handy with one of
the solicitations on it (not deleted).

Been going on for probably about two months

-most are inane like this, and are not usually commercial, but will have
items for same, at times

How long have you had this number? Sometimes what happens is someone
will have the number before you and register it with MSN or where ever
to get IM's forwarded to their cell. They change their number, you get
it, and their messages. If that's the case, you need to contact where
the messages are coming from and get the forwarding stopped. If you
get messages like "anybody awake?" it sounds like it could be something
like that.

Only thing I can think of is to ask SPCS whether they can track TM's and see
if they can get a full return address for this person. If they can, then you
can email the party back and ask to be removed from their list.
