I need a good phone for work. It doesn't have to be too flashy, just to
work and work reliably. I'm tired of getting dropped signals and having
to fight with the phone. I need a good charge (longer than a day) and I
have about $100 to work with. This is a company phone and that's my
spending limit. I've asked reps at the store and they seem to go for
the A500, but it's SO small, it just feels cheap to me. Maybe it's not.
I've read about the $50 off coupon good til Sunday. But which is the
best phone of the current four Costco is offering? And why don't they
have the 4900 anymore? I've heard that's probably the most reliable out
there at the moment.
And if I were to go outside Costco to buy, which model do you feel has
the best performance and is the most reliable without necessarily the
bells and whistles. Oh yeah, and under $100. Thanks for your help.

Re: Best costco phone?
I should also mention that I'm currently using a decrepit old 8500.
Pretty much anything would be better but it seemed a stable enough phone
when I got it about a year ago...

With Costco's return policy you're covered no matter what you choose.

Re: Best costco phone?
I'm a Costco member, but I've never bought a Sprint phone from them. I am
looking into a cheap replacement phone for my second line .... and before i
drive the 10 miles to the closest Costco, could anyone tell me which ones
they carry ?
TIA,
-Bum
ps. I bought an 8100 from Best Buy a couple weeks ago for $200 + $40 2-yr
service plan, primarily because of the service plan which will allows me a
replacement phone in case of problems. Please tell me I couldn't have gotten
a better deal from Costco =(

You probably could have. Someone else will have to verify Costco's
miraculous return policy and prices, but you have 30 days to return
something purchased at best buy. Someone will probably start a discussion
of how Best Buy warranties are a rip-off, but they can really pay off on
cell phones if you are inclined to take advantage (wink wink) of them.

Re: Best costco phone?
i believe currently they are carrying all samsungs - the a620 (vga1000),
n400, a460 and a500. that was the case at the two costcos i visited
last week when i got my a620. they were both out of sanyo 5300s and i
have heard that they were told to stop selling them shortly after that
anyway and send whatever they had left back to sprint for some reason.

Re: Best costco phone?
I bought the A460 for the mrs on Monday. Discovered the vision is not
optional on the phone so I took it back. Costco took it back no
problem and gave Cash on Hand.
We bought the N400.
Costco's deal for members is the price ($119 for the n400 & $99 for the
A460, not including rebates of $70.00 each). You also get an
accessories kit free.
Can't beat their deals.
