I cancelled my Sprint PCS account yesterday after being told by one
person that they would waive the fee and note it on my account if the
new phones I'd purchased did not work. They didn't, so I called back
and they refused to waive the fee. They DID charge me for the number
portability service, WHICH THEY ALSO REFUSED to allow me to use.

Sprint PCS sucks so much ass it's not funny.

If they refused to waive the termination penalty on grounds of the number
portability surcharge, they are in Contempt of Court and deserve jail time. All
reports indicate that the court injunction (requiring them to let you go without
penalty) lasts until the end of August. This is precisely why we need access to
Executive Services: To find *someone* in Sprint who is not willing to risk jail
time merely in order to spite customers.

To my knowledge, this ruling is from a district court judge in California
.... which is where the jurisdiction would end.
