This offer is good in the 989 area code, also. It is not published, but
if you call *2 and get a rep that knows what they are doing, they can
    set you up.

Is it only 989 or others also?

Could be they're testing it, to see what the reaction is, and whether its
profitable or causes too big a hit on the network before going national. It
would be something to differentiate Sprint from other carriers
(at least until other carriers copied it).

I believe that it is in the standard package for the 313 area code. I
have a friend that lives in Detroit and has it, which is why I called
*2 to see if why it was available there and not in the 989. The CSR
informed me that it was available here (for an additional $7 per line)
and that in some areas 6 p.m. start times are available.

Thanks for the info; where is "here" and did c/s indicate it was an add
on option, or a different plan? thanks

"Here" is central lower Michigan, and it is an add on to your current
plan (like PCS to PCS). Just call CS and tell ask them what is
available for your area. Hopefully you are one of the lucky ones with
    the 6 p.m. start time.

From what I understand, this is advertised only in-store. Although, if you
ask, CC can set it up, too.

Thanks for info, but is as in the post, it's offered in area code 989,
would it be possible somehow, for a customer from another area code to
get it--and, exactly how is the area determined---as, for instance, say
you had and area code assigned to say Atlanta, then moved and changed
billing address to 989, but kept the Atlanta area code, would that
qualify to get this option--or what? thanks again

    >=20

Each phone is assigned to an area roughly (but not completely) analogous=20
to Area Code. That determines the "market" in which it runs, and that,=20
in turn, determines what plans it can have. This area, called a CSA, is=20
based upon the coverage address you give us to set an area code for you.

And no, a phone with an Atlanta area code could not take advantage of=20
specials in the 989 area code. Unless, of course, the offer was the=20
    same all throughout the country.
