Portland OR - new PRL - Go/No-Go?

A message received from UNKNOWN on my SPH-i300 PalmPhone tells me I can
update my PRL with *2. The droids in Claire-land tell me the new Portland
OR PRL is 10020 and the old PRL was was installed in April of this year,
but have no other useful information.

Should I tell my users to go ahead with this, or not?

How widely travelled are they? PRL updates are generally harmless, and
minimize costs if those users *do* roam with our partners. If the PRL isn't
up to date, and they try to make a call, they may wind up in that provider's
Customer Care department, being asked for a credit card, whereupon the
carrier will charge pretty much whatever it wants.

I received an update message on my Samsung N400 down the road here in
here in Oregon City on Thursday, I did it, since then my phone has
been screwed up bigtime! Analog-digital-PCS cycling, no service, lost
book marks, changed home page, etc.etc. I just posted something to
google alt.sprintpcs.com about it, if you're interested. (cerealtrader
= ID)

They are telling me nothing other than to go (once again) into the
Sprint store, and let them try and figure it out...

LMK how you get along, if you wouldn't mind..

Now that I'm at work, I can let you know what the system tells me about
10020:

PRL Version- 10020
Date added- 9/03/03
History- Minor roaming changes in Washington, Oregon and Colorado.
Digital changes to Colorado market for system acquisition enhancements.

PRL Version- 10019
Date added- 04/16/03
History- Extensive roaming priority changes in continental US.
Significant roaming cost savings realized with this PRL update.

All over Oregon, Riverside CA, San Antonio TX, Washington DC & elsewhere in
CONUS.
