I've wanted to get at the audio for the SPH-I300 through the bottom
connector for a long time. I decided to investigate it again today.

I looked at the data from the FCC.
http://gullfoss2.fcc.gov/prod/oet/fo...ive_or_pdf=pdf
It shows audio as being available on the main connector. I just cracked
open my charging unit and found that the pins are all labelled!
Unfortunately they're all three letters only and don't exactly match up
the listing in the FCC document.

From the FCC document we have
V_F
DGND
BATT
C_F
TX_AUDIO
DP_TX_DATA
RX_AUDIO
DP_RX_DATA
HP_PWR
RI
CD
RTS
CTS
DTR
and from the PCB in the charging station, I see these.
C D
TxD
RTN
RxD
R I
RTS
CTS
DTR
DSR
HOT
C/F
BAT
BAT
V/S
RTN
(But there are 16 pins on the charging station?!)

So...here's my first guess at a mapping.
C D CD carrier detect
TxD DP_TX_DATA data send
RTN DGND data ground
RxD DP_RX_DATA data receive
R I RI ring indicator
RTS RTS request to send
CTS CTS clear to send
DTR DTR data terminal ready
DSR DSR data set ready
HOT HP_PWR
C/F C_F
BAT BATT battery
BAT BATT battery
V/S V_F
RTN DGND data ground

Unfortunately that leaves TX_AUDIO and RX_AUDIO. There are three pins
missing on the bottom connector. I'm guessing that those are for
audio. Bummer.

Anyone have more information to add?

Thank you.
