    A Lucent department head recently gave a talk to a local IEEE organization on 3G
    technology and services. His viewgraphs are here:

    Very interesting link. Although this is only a very small portion of=20
    his talk, I think it bears out what people have had to say positive=20
    about SPCS: that it's network is very good.

    Excellent info. There were some references to linking cellular to
    801.11 networks, as a way to penetrate the home/office. What's out
    there now that will function as a 1900MHz repeater in the home - i.e.
    to get a poor signal, perhaps via a rooftop directional antenna, and
    rebroadcast it into a small home-size interior area? If I had a
    rock-solid signal, I would dispense with both landlines.
