While in a MALL today, a kiosk (run by Radio Shack) of Sprint phones
advertsied no activation fee until October 8; save $36.

Costco has no activation fee + an additional $36 service credit until
    mon. for new activations.

For a while the Sprint stores were offering no activation fee, again
    only for new activations.

What I don't understand is why the "helpful" SprintPCS employees
never told anyone here about this, especially since presumably they knew
    about it ahead of time.

You wouldn't even if told, Philly. You've *been* told before, and still=20
    pretend otherwise.
