I received a Sumsung I-330 reconditioned phone from Sprint this week and
activated it yesterday morning (over 18 hours ago). The voice functions
work fine, but the data features don't function at all. After 4 calls to
customer service, and a level 2 rep, the phone still indicates it is
    "not provisioned".

The last call to a level 2 vision specialist ended with some information
that the network is having problems and Sprint is having difficulty
pushing provisioning configurations to Vision phones. The rep told me
she will continue to try to provision the phone and will call me back -
    so far no call!

Anyone else having similar provisioning problems or is this just a local
    problem?

Likely the folks that know what to do have the weekend off.

It's a plain, old fashioned traffic jam. NetOps says it should be
    cleared up by morning.

More evidence that Sprint can't keep up its networks.

I did have problems similar to this back in jan or feb when I switched
phones--could talk but could not use vision stuff for a while--I believe
it was 2 or 3 days---spoke with c/s care and the vision service folks
numerous times--I'd forgot about until you mentioned this.

Yeah, we're so bad at it that we've already completed test number ports=20
on several occasions, and have already begun setting up porting=20
    agreements.

    Terrible.

Re: Problem with Vision Network this Weekend

I've go the same problem here in Ohio. Bought 2 Sanyo 8100 phones yesterday
afternoon and still no Vision services. A rep told me at about 9:30 PM
yesterday that there was a backlog and it could take up to 10 hours instead
of the 4 the sales rep told me.. Well, it's about 20 hours since I bought
the phones and still no joy. I'm new to Sprint and I don't want to badmouth
a company right off the bat but I am getting tired of waiting. On the other
hand the customer service reps were friendly and helpful even late at night.
I'm going to give them a little more time to work things out. Thanks for
posting, glad to know I'm not the only one.

I'm lying again? You're in ****ing denial, jackass. That is the ONLY
explanation for why Little Elm used to have service and doesn't now.
Nothing was built, no trees were planted, etc. Worked fine for 5 months,
    then went to ****.

Stay in your drunken stupor, Rob. You're assuming to know what has actually
    happened again.

Justin in 100% correct, thats why Sprint waived his ETF fee. They no
longer provide coverage for where he lives, although its maps (in clear
violation of the new Industry wide Consumer Code) show it does.

vargie is in denial over the holes in Sprints coverage, even when Sprint
admits to them. He's an embaressment to SprintPCS.

In my case, Sprint still provided coverage, but it had become very very
spotty and completely unreliable. I was missing tons of calls and could
rarely connect when dialing out on the first try. The map still shows
    me completely covered.

So does the Verizon map, but in their case, their coverage actually
works great. I have cancelled Sprint and was told that I wouldn't have
a ETF fee, so we'll see.

I was told one morning that I would be able to cancel w/o the ETF and they
said they noted it on my account. Next day when I went to cancel, it was
like I hadn't even called the day before.
