Is your own number PCS to PCS?

Does it count against your anytime minutes or your PCS to PCS minutes
when you call your own number? anybody know? thanks in advance.

If you mean calling your voicemail, it does not count as PCS to PCS.
It will come out of your anytime or n/w minutes. There's a trick to
get around that, but if you just dial your own number, it's not PCS to
PCS.

ok. let me clarify. it's 4:15 on tuesday afternoon. i dial
(xxx)555-1212, which happens to be my cell number. I'm checking my
voicemail. Am i using my 1 of my (very) limited anytime minutes? Or am i
using my unlimited PCS to PCS minutes?

I have a follow-up question:

Since calling voicemail is not PCS-to-PCS, what about the -MAIL number? For
example, lets say that my phone number is 123-456-1212. If I call that I
know it's not PCS-to-PCS, but what if I call 123-456-MAIL, the PCS VoiceMail
number for some exchanges? Is THAT PCS-to-PCS?

Yes, it does use your anytime minutes.

If you are worried about going over, you can check your voicemail from
any other phone, including a land-line.

Dial your number, when you get to voicemail press * and then enter your
pin number and then press #. This will take you into voicemail.

Dial 11 + Areacode & Number of someone elses sprint number. It will go
strait to there VM. hit * twice. Then dial in you #, then your pin #.
No problem.
This doesn't work in all markets. It does work in Colorado, which is a
corp market (At least the Denver colorado Springs area)

You can also try XXX (Your phone's Area Code) - YYY (Your phone's prefix) -
MAIL (In other words, XXX-YYY-MAIL), and follow the prompts.

Easiest way is dialing 11+(area code)+someother pcs # then hitting **
then input you phone # plus area code, and then VM password.

Or the EASIEST way, just call it from a landline phone.

No. If you call your own number from your PCS phone, then you reach
voicemail, which isn't PCS2PCS.

If you call your number from ANOTHER PCS phone, then your airtime comes
out of PCS2PCS, and airtime on the phone you're calling from comes from
whatever appropriate bucket of minutes is set up for that phone... if
they have PCS2PCS, then it comes out of that. Otherwise, it'll be
anytime minutes, or N&W if appropriate, etc.

The cell swtiched your PCS number is homed on has to be set up with that
ability for it to work. Not all of them are.

However, if you CAN find a switch that is set up that way (mine is:
732-619-MAIL works), then you can log into any PCS number's voicemail
from that switch, provided you have the right passcodes and all to get
into that voicemail box.
