    I use my LG5350 with a USB cable attached to my laptop to get online and
    read email. It works great BUT, I have not figured out how to SEND email
    using outlook express. Does anyone know the proper outgoing server to use?

    Thanks,
    Steve

    Outgoing server: smtp.sprintpcs.com

    You need to make sure you set it to require authentication for the=20
    outgoing server, too. You'll find it as a check box at the bottom of=20
    the "Servers" tab in the account properties. It's set this way by=20
    default, but also be sure and click on the "Settings" button and make=20
    sure it's set to "Use the same settings as my incoming mail server".

    Rob, if you know that cust's shouldn't be using there 3g phns as modems,
    then why would you assist them with email setup using that configuration.
    I hate getting calls from cust that are mad cause they've been told they
    can use it as a modem. Then I have to listen to a yelling fit when I tell
    them there not allowed to.

    Somehow I wish you didn't either. Believe it or not one of the real
    rasons people getr Vision services is to be able in a pinch get their
    E-mail. All Mr. Vargas did here is what he would be expected to do at
    the Tier 1 helpdesk and answer this same question. I have news for you
    bebe, if Sprint didn't let people do this at all you would have more
    customers not activating at Sprint and more of them going to Verizon.
    Your cushy Customer care job in the end depends on customers, and if you
    do not offer the services they demand then you not have any custoemrs
    (and by extention no job)

    BTW-are you making your upsell quota for LD? Just curious.

    You bet. Verizon wins hands down on coverage, Sprint wins on features
    and flexibility.

    Not in Colorado Springs! I switched to sprint, and I had sooo much
    better coverage! I Love my Vision too!

    I didn't say *anything* about the phone as a modem. I talked about the smt=
    p=20
    settings of an email program, which *is* supported. I've posted the warnin=
    gs=20
    here time and again. If a user wants to leave themselves open to removal o=
    f=20
    the Vision service pack, then they have that choice. But they also have th=
    e=20
    *legitimate* choice to use Outlook or Outlook Express (or whatever email=20
    program they choose) to access PCS Email.

    That depends where you are. In Wisconsin, there are a lot more
    locations where you can live and sign up for Sprint PCS service but not
    verizon.
