Wrong. Check out the following in your King James Bible:
(original verses written about 4000 years ago)
    Exodus 32:13
    Leviticus 20:2
    Leviticus 23:10
    Leviticus 25:2
    Numbers 15:18
    Numbers 27:12
    Numbers 32:7-9
    Numbers 34:2
    Deuteronomy 32:49
    Joshua 1:2
    Joshua 11:16
1 Samuel 13:19 (first occurrence of the phrase "land of Israel")

Read the second book of the five books of moses. That was the promised
land. No, I am not a religious zealot. Just a reader of lots of stuff.

    Judea comes later.

Look who doesn't know what he is talking about. The King James Version is a
modified copy of the Jerusalem Bible which is a modified copy of the
    Constantinople
Bible which is a copy of a copy of the Septuagint which is a MIS-TRANSLATION
into Attic Greek of the original Hebrew Torah which has not been modified
since before there was a King James or for that matter, a New Testament.
Try reading it in its original Hebrew (Torah scrolls are copied from one
directly to another by hand with a witness to ensure the copy is exact), not
worse copies of bad copies of modified copies.

However, let's assume you are right stating when the first use of the land
of Israel appears for the moment. Samuel appears long before the name of
land called Palestine appears (the 20th century) A.D. or C.E. depending
which way you wish to go.

In Exodus, God first speaks to Moses of leading B'nai Yisroayl (Children of
Israel, the descendents of Isaac son of Abraham who was renamed by God,
Israel) from Mayeretz Mitzryim (the Land of Egypt) to Eretz Yisroayl. Read
it in its original not as a modified copy.

So much for the cell phone threads.

The reason the world is so ****ed up is we're undergoing evolution.
And the reason our institutions our traditional religions are all
crumbling is because. They are no longer relevant!

    You are so correct!!

Like I said earlier, I am not at all a religious zealot; rather, I just read
A LOT and made a point of learning to read the OT in native Hebrew, the
Koran in the original Arabic and the New Testament in Attic Greek (am
learning albeit very slowly, Sanskrit to tackle the Vedas and Gita). In the
end, the only meaning all traditional religions agree in principle (because
they sure don't in real life) is respect for one another and the sanctity of
    life.

    So much for those tenets.

Blah, blah religious mambo-jambo crap, 5 decades ago some guy found out that
he and his family were about to become citizens of another "jewish" country
whether they like it or not. Then he found out that there was going to be a
big war there so he decided to take his family somewhere else where it
might be safe. He thought when it all blows over and things calm down he
and his family would go back to their house and back to normal life. He and
his family are still waiting in refugee camps throughout middle east. You
want to fix middle east start at the bottom.

    Ah, yes!
Didn't that all happen in Judea (land of the Jews for 5000 years)? What's
this "Palestine" - a suburb? I'll bet a coin collector would give a lot for
a Palestinian quarter, if there had ever been such a country. And do they
    use GSM?
