Am I correct that after satisfying 12 months of service with SprintPCS that
I'm liable to pay for an extra month of service? According to my records, I
established service on 11/10 of last year, with my first bill listing a
period of 10/11/02-11/10/02. This initial bill including only one day of
service usage, but was charged at the full monthly rate rather than at a
pro-rate. According to my records, I should not be liable for any further
monthly fees if service is cancelled on 11/10/03. Everything to this date
has been paid for, including the most recent statement which had a billing
period of 9/11-10/10, which recently arrived, and is in fact the '12th'
statement received + accounted for. If anyone has experience with canceling
service after satisfying a 12 month agreement, please respond. I am under
the impression that Sprint does not pro-rate the first month, that the
billing period is determined by the date your account is created, rather
than something regionally/centrally defined as is the case with other
wireless carriers. Should I be responsible for a thirteenth billing
statement if service is cancelled on 11/10/03, provided there is no reported
    overage or roaming charge??

Technicaly, all companies you'll be responsible for 13 bills.

Your first bill is pro-rated. So, your first bill was 11-10-2002 to
12-09-2002. But, your 13th bill will also have any overages, extra
costs etc.. according to your usage.

The plans are pro-rated. Overages, extra charges (411 calls Vision
downloads etc..) are billed at the end of the cycle. If you're
honestly looking into leaving, you're contract should be up on the day
you signed on one year later.

Actually, my first bill was not prorated, and the date range was
10/10-11/11/02.... The bill included the user fee of $29.99 plus the
activation fee, and it definitely wasn't pro-rated.

sprint bills are not prorated, you should have to continue the 13 month
if you cancel on the same day that you had activated.

    signed up 11/10/02-11/10/03
I believe your next bill cycle starts on 11/11/03

Actually, 12 months is 12 months:

11/10/02 - 11/09/03. 11/10/03 begins another month and another year.

once you cancel, you shouldn't recieve a bill for the last month, sprint
charges the normal fee one month ahead, and all overage come at the end of
    the month.
