    No, I'am using cingular unlocked on tmobile and tmobile phone on cingular.
    But the settings for wap and email may be different and if the phone is not
    offered by cingular or t-moible they may not be much help setting it up.
    Also Cingular does use 850 in many markets unlike T-mobile. Not Gsm related
    but I'am using a Nextel phone on Boost and because it uses a 32K vs 64K sim
    some OTA updates wipe out the web/voice mail, a call to C.S. gets it
    restored. Guess it is possible for GSM OTA updates to cause a problem with a
    unsupported phone but I've never heard of this. Along the same line is
    special firmware that Cingular or T-mobile could use that would make the
    phones act different.
