Überwältigt ...

My daughter is looking to buy a Motorola i860, I am helping her with
the research. There are so many different online stores with varying
rebate offers it is a bit overwhelming. Especially trying to find the
best deal with the best seller. I've been searching google groups to
find out opinions, which are many and varied, it is hard to sort
through. I have several questions, but one key question in particular.


If she chooses a service plan with Nextel through Amazon.com, can she
later go to a Nextel service store in town for service, questions,
monthly payment, etc.?

I also welcome any thoughts, opinions this group's favorite seller or
any other advice. Thanks in advance for all of your time and effort

Thanks for your reply, it is very informative and I really appreciate
you taking the time to respond. I am sure my daughter has no idea
about iDEN proprietary technology and limited coverage area, I will
forward her that information; as well as having to use the online
retailer for service.

My daughter has asked if she wanted to make a payment in person, could
she go up to Nextel store to make payment? Or if she wanted to change
plans would she have to go through the online retailer as well?

Why make a payment in person rather than sending a check in the mail or
paying the bill online? I have always wondered why folks want to make
payments in person.

Sometimes she waits till the very last day it is due to make payment,
therefore she must do it in person.

Do you have a favorite online retailer to buy phones and plans and
great rebates that are trustworthy?
