Best current phone?

What mobile is the best out there? By that I mean looks good and full of
features?

OK, I have the following phones available to me.

Sony Ericsson K600i because it has bluetooth, 3G, good RF performance
and looks reasonable. The battery life is slightly shorter than I'd
like though.

Others may have a different opinion and it really depends on what you
need. If email was your main priority, I'd go for a Blackberry...

I loving my Nokia 6680, but don't get the tangoed version!!

K600 has no memory stick, so no good for MP3s. V800/W800 does but it's a
big bugger (no radio too)! Both these, have ok cameras but the K750 has a
fab camera in comparison but is not 3G. Why can't they make a 3G version of
the K750? Why do SE always leave one wanting? :'-(

Why get 3G anyway? You can watch Big Brother or football...wow! Great to
link to a laptop and surf at broadband speeds, but at more that 2 quid a meg
for low users, you will have a massive bill in no time. You get a gig a
month off Orange for the first three months and then after that, 75 quid a
month for business users?? If using with a laptop remember to turn your
windows update off and autoupdates for progs too, as in a matter of minutes
you can download 20 quids worth of data without being aware as it is so fast
or while messing with your coffee in the train, you retrieve an email with
three MP3s your mate sent you for a princely sum. You have time to panic
with GPRS and do something about it.. You can change all the settings to
prevent this, but you have to remember them all and change them between the
mobile and static environments. It is easier with Linux I find. If you use
it for chat, emails, squeezered pages to conserve data usage: you might as
well use GPRS as it is ok and you can get a decent phone with a battery
that lasts longer than one day and does not look like a Nissan in your
pocket.

Anyone got any good ideas for using 3G which is cheap and cheerful?

I'd go for a K750 if looking for a Sony Ericsson. I can't comment on Nokias
as I have little experience of them.

Ah, one of the easy questions..... If you want features, go for a
smartphone - Sony P910i, O2 XDA II, PalmOne Treo. Good looks? Nokia 8800,
perhaps. To be honest, looks are subjective, and features is a bit difficult
as a yardstick unless we know what you want....

Try the sony ericsson W800.... it's a fully upgraded version of the k750i -
basically with GREAT mp3 functionality.... it's like a proper mp3 player
with a phone, and you can have the mp3player-mode on without the phone being
on....yay!

All phones have their drawbacks, bu the k750i on it's own is a pretty good
phone.

If the w800 walkman phone was a mixture of the 6230i also i'd probably
splash out the £300 on it... but fook that.
