Hi,
About a year ago a friend gave me her old Samsung SGH-X426 when my
phone died. This week I tried to make a change in the phone and
discovered that the phone password is not set to the default 00000000.
Someone must have changed it. When I asked my friend, she couldn't
remember what the password was changed to.
Is there some way to totally reset the phone, including its password,
back to all the defaults? Otherwise I guess I'm stuck.
Thanks!

A quick call to the carrier, with a legal phone in hand,
should get you what you want.

Re: How to Reset Samsung SGH-X426
Excuse me for butting into the thread, but I have a similar question.
I am selling
my Samsung SGH X495 T-Mobile To Go phone on eBay, including the SIM
card.
I called T-Mobile and they said they "took my name off the account." I
also
deleted all my contacts from the phone and the SIM. What else do I
have to
do to "clean" this phone? I just want to be sure the buyer cannot make
calls
of some evil nature and have them traced back to me.
Finally, when the buyer calls T-Mobile to re-activate the phone will
he/she get the
remaining airtime? It's not very much, just curious.
TIA
Ed

Unfortunately Cingular was not able to help. I want to drop ATTWS,
unlock the phone, and use it for a Cingular account. Cingular said
it's fine with them but they cannot help me.
