I recently bought a Moto E815 which according to my research has a
standby time of 280 hrs., and talk time of 4.3 hrs. per charge. Granted
the tests that produce these times are done in optimal conditions, and
we don't live in Optimal, USA, so I find my new 815 gives me about 20
hours of stand-by with a few minutes of talk (10-15). Given the most
hyperbolic of exaggeration I think this is criminal overstatement. I
brought the phone back the first time; they gave me a new battery. The
second time: new phone. Still about 24 hours per charge. Third time I
was advised that it isn't going to get any better. Suggested bigger
battery. Said newer phones are real batt. hogs. He would sell me any
phone in the place, but in his opinion I had the best phone and about a
day was all I was going to get. What are others getting with their
newer phones? Ia it unreasonable to expect 3-4 days on a charge with
light use. I would like to hear from some others and try to get a feel
for the norm. My service is Verizon.

It sounds to me like there is something seriously wrong there. I have an
E815 I purchased less than a month ago. I haven't tried any sort of scientific
test on battery life with it, but the last time I charged it was about a week
ago and my battery meter is still at 4 out of 6. I don't use it very heavily,
but I did make several calls over the weekend, perhaps for a total of 20
minutes. I do turn the phone off at night or when I will be unable to answer it
for an extended period, but the rest of the time it is on stand-by.
