Re: iPhone worth it?
I love my 3G - it's always with me. AT&T service sucks, but the iPhone makes it worth it.

Re: iPhone worth it?
Hmm. I have to say before the Nokia 5800 is out the iPhone is worth buying. However, with a phone with specs and price like the Nokia 5800, as a consumer i prefer the Nokia 5800

Re: iPhone worth it?
I think it's only worth it if you actually use most of the functions. I know a couple people who only use it for calls and texting. It's kind of funny

Re: iPhone worth it?
I have had my iPhone 3G for about a month now. I have to say that it was one of the best investments I have ever made in a device. There are so many wonderful things about it. The screen is fantastic. The device is compatable with every other accessory that uses the dock connector. The headphone jack is no longer recessed, so you can use any headset. The phone itself seems durable, but I wouldn't want to do a drop test to find out. As far as scratch protection, I took it out of the box and put an invisible shield on it. I have it on all of my devices and none have any scratches. Plus I have the iPhone in a silicone case and I use a Leather hip case, so triple protection. The phone reception is super strong. I can receive calls in the basement of my office building. I get 3G signal almost everywhere. The battery life is great considering I can go for about a day and a half of normal usage before I need a charge. Far better than my Moto RAZR ever was. People who are complaining, need to update to the 2.1 firmware. It fixed a lot of issues. The App store is awesome and has a ton of useful tools. The GPS function works very well and is perfect for a stroll around town. The keyboard works very well once you figure out how to use it. The predictive text is the best implementation that I have ever seen. Now for the gripes. No MMS, that is pitiful. Still no copy and paste. No Flash support, no Java support and landscape texting is still not possible. Exchange email is poorly implemented (Noone uses IMAP). The lack of voice guided GPS is sucky. The fact that you can only the ipod portion with one iTunes library is my biggest complaint. No other ipod is crippled like this and it is a poor design all around. Overall, I would give the device an 8 out of 10.

Ohh forgot to mention, ringtones are 99 cents if you buy them from iTunes. You can use MP3's if you want, they just have to be less than 30 Seconds. Use any audio editor to do it.

Re: iPhone worth it?
IPhone is worth it if your going to use it. As with all other cell phones/PDA/Sound devices. Got a little upset having to spend another .99cents for the song that I already owned through ITunes for the Ringtone, but thats ITunes. Other than that, I use mine for Email, GPS (Unreliable), IPod and Cell phone. It was worth it to me.

Re: iPhone worth it?
yes, it's worth it for $200 if you're using it mostly for fun. I would not recommend it for business use or if you need something robust.
It wasn't worth it for $400 but at that time my GF bought it for me as a X-mas gift.
