Nope, they use CDMA. Not GSM or WCDMA.

not to mention they'd charge you an arm and a leg unless you had unlimited text and data set up. Asides from bosphil's facts, Verizon is just UGH. I used to be on there. They once charged me 365 bucks FOR NO REASON! just go with the legit iPhone and AT&T

I have no idea what you're taking about, but every carrier charges you for data and text, especially if you don't have a data/text plan. As to the iPhone, AT&T requires that you get the $30 data plan with the device. Also, if you want text (unlimited), it's an additional $20, making for an extra $50 for unlimited data and text, and that doesn't include the voice plan.
