I tried to use http://www.funformobile.com to upload an mp3 ringtone, but i get an error saying "error occurred while downloading and installing the software" but i've used the site for a few midi files, and it worked fine. so.. does the 8910 even support mp3's?

yes...all you have to do is to rename the mp3 file to a mid file.

So if your file was mysong.mp3, just rename it to mysong.mid and it will upload.

This should be pretty easy to do. If you are having problems, there must be more than what's been posted.

Please give me an example of what your doing or trying to do.

You are trying to take a mp3 clip off your phone and send it to where?

Is the extention actually mp3? What is the extention of the song your trying to download I guess is what I am asking?

Why would you want to take a clip off a phone to play on your computer?

    Oh...ok

You need to change the extention of the song clip from mp3 to mid.

To do this, go into your computer and find the song that you want to send to your phone. If you can see the extention, then just right click on the file, and go down to rename and click that. Now press the right arrow key to bring your cursor to the very right of the name. Backspace twice to get rid of the p and 3 and replace them with id.

Example: the name of your song is MySong.mp3, it should look like MySong.mid when your done. That's it, now email the song to your phone.

Your email address to your phone is your phone number including the area code at vzwpix.com.

Example: if your phone number including area code was 123-456-7890, then your email addy to your phone would be:

    [email protected]

Once the clip has been sent to your phone, go into options, go to save, and save the song. Once you have done that, delete the email, as they start to take up room on your phone.

Also, if you don't have a pix/flix package, then this is going to cost you .25 But, it's a hell of a lot cheaper than going through "Get It Now" which will cost you a couple dollars per dowload.

can you see the entire name of the file in your computer? Including the extension?
