Hope it isn't too late to bring this topic back up.. because I'll have to agree. Close to nothing really compares with it.. especially with the new '05 model getting some 300 HP; which is wayy out of it's competitor's range. Only thing I see competing with it is the BMW 330i, and really, the current one isn't even close. Soon as the E90 3 series comes (Will be very ugly.. propz to Chris Bangle), it'll bring some real competition to the table, as the new E90 BMW 330i will ahve some 258 HP. Still somewhat far behind though. Plus, the new BMW 330i base model is about 5 grand more than the FULLY LOADED G35. Base G35 will be some 12 grand cheaper than the base 330i. So really, it's quite the deal.
