Guys & Ladies,
I just got down here to tampa where my sister & husband lives and they were gonna take me out to the abercrombie store here locally to shop for clothes for my 24th birthday this coming up saturday but the traffic where the place is was terrible and backed up fior miles so we went to the e/z pawn shop and I found a brand new on the self Apple Ipod for $174 bucks with the wall charger and earphones. I found the price where it cost brand new at apple's website. its a 60 gb ipod and not a dent, scratch or ne thing bad like on there. So I bought it. What are some websites to look up information for it? I know apple website is a good place to start at but where else?

ipodlounge.com is a great site for all things ipod. the members in the forum are usually pretty helpfuland the site itself has quite a lot of information and news regarding the ipod.

Re: Apple Ipod
FYI, when you connect to your version of iTunes, you may lose all the stored songs on your new iPod when it updates.
If you're not concerned about the new library you've inherited, no biggie.
But if you are, to be safe I suggest downloading a program which will copy your iPod's library to your computer. Then you will always have a hard copy for the future.
Off the top of my head, PodUtil works.

Re: Apple Ipod
If your iPod came with a home charger, you should already have the PC connection USB cable. The home charger consists of 2 parts: a little "box" that plugs into AC power, and the USB cable that fits both the "box" and your PC. If that is not your charger's configuration, then I am sorry, and you will need to purchase the correct cable.
Then you will need the software for your iPod (including iTunes). You can find the firmware updates on Apple's website. Here is a link for you:Apple - iPod - Download. You will need to sign up with Apple, then download and install the software (again, including iTunes), connect your iPod and let your PC do the rest.

It's a pretty decent site that has a bunch of stuff you can download to customize your iPod (i.e. games, apps and what not).

Re: Apple Ipod
when you hook it up to the computer, itunes should open. if you right click on the name of the ipod there, yyou should be able to change the name. if not, single click and hold, and it'll let u change it then.

Re: Apple Ipod
The first time you connect ot iTunes you will get a message window advising you that your iPod has been connected to another music collection. It will ask if you want to change (or something like that). Once you start that process it will wipe the existing collection and give you the opportunity to create a new name for the iPod.
Good luck, tell us how it works out for you.LG VX9900 (enV)
