    Destroyed my new v551 motorola.

    If I buy a cingular compatible go phone say at walmart, can I use my cingular simm card untill I can afford a new v551?

    should be able to work because with cingular, all you need is your cingular simm card and a phone that is used with cingular or has cingular logo on it (worked when i had a lg c1300, i switched my sim card into my new samsung phone my friend gave me)

    I would blatently say yes... but.....
    Some cingular pre-paid were actually using At&t sims for a while, so the phone would have been locked to blue (Hell cingular was selling cingular-branded SX66 that were locked to Blue for months). You probably won't have a problem, but it is something to be aware of.
