Hi guys & gals,
I've just subscribed to Freeserve Broadband (UK) but seem to be having problems getting the sodding thing to work. I had a DACS line (a shared line) which BT have had to come and sort out which they appear to have done. I've installed all the software (before attaching the hardware) and plugged in the necessary filters. But the ADSL modem diagnostic tells me there's no dial tone (?). I'm not having much joy from BT or Freeserve support so any help would be much appreciated.

are you sure you installed the software right? No dial tone, maybe you installed dial up software.

Thx XJ. I've discovered the problem isn't at my end but at my ISP's end. I've kicked them up the ass and they've assured me it should be sorted by the end of the day. Yeah, right!
