windows XP pro login problem

Hello,

Problem with friend's Laptop.
He took his laptop home from work and wanted to add it to local network.
We deleted domain name from network options,changed IP and added workgroup name of my local home network and then restarted. Something is messed up now. Login box comes up and he types in correct login information and it doesn't login. Says to check username/password and domain name blaa blaa. But we have checked everything, even tried safe mode. nothing.

Would could be wrong? I am not very good on windows domain stuff so what did we wrong?

Did you try loggin in locally as admin to change da settings??!

yep, he told that their domain admin logged in with his password and added domain name. Everything works now.
