List what processor you have, have had, and want to get. And give some brief info about it, whether it's good, or bad, or not sure.
I have an AMD Athlong 64 3800+ Dual core processor (Being shipped, kinda, so for now I am using an AMD Athlon 64 3800+ proc.) So far it's good, faster than my Intel Celeron D Processory, which was good and I was able to do a lot of work on it, having iTunes, The "green", MPT, Avant Browser, MSN, and MSN Messenger running, and have a little bit of lag.
Can't wait for Dual Core, although I need XP Pro. to get full benefits, but Windows Vista Beta 2 is good too!

Re: What Processor do you have?
That's good. Either ur proc is good or bad. I mean, it can be good to one, and bad to another. In both ways too whether it defective or whether it just too slow. My older proc was doing pretty good, but I was going faster than the speedometer showed, and you can only go so far. I am not much of a gamer, I am just a power user. I plan to use my new pc for some dj-ing and working with graphics. Maybe do a bit of video editing and web site creation. But before, I just listened to music and played basic games, but after playing Halo and having graphics at low, I thought it was about time to change things. I hope I picked the right proc, haven't used it, and won't be able to take full advantage of it, seein Windows XP Home can't do dual core, but that doesn't mean it can't benefit from it.
Live life to the fullest. Even if full is over 3.75 a gallon! (Wow, I wrote this two years ago, and that is when I was paying 2.35 a gallon, I now pay 3.50!)

Re: What Processor do you have?
And it hasn't had a thermal shutdown? Somethings not right! lol (some PCs can handle up to 150*F though). You're beating the processor into the ground! lol
If it's not a HT processor, it should normally run at 3.2GHz
If it IS a HT processor, it should normally run at 3.46GHz
At the rate you're going, I'd expect it to die within a year... and a DELL at that? The PHOENIX BIOS in Dells doesn't allow for over clocking... how you pulled that off, I have no idea lol

Re: What Processor do you have?
well a dell case
i had a different mobo and my dad spilled coffee all over the case he had b4, and my friend had an xps he fried, he didnt bother fixing, so i copped his case, iuno how my dad fit the mobo in, cz i though dell uses clips to attach their mobo, and i set the over heat alarm at like 149.8. and the vga temp probe overheat alarm at like 140, i dont usually work his comp that hard cz its not comp to break, so i didnt overclock too long
but i just had to do it! i mean cmon... itsa p4 extreme edition... whts a 1k+ piece of electronic without a lil fun...Hey there!

Re: What Processor do you have?
about 5 years ago i upgraded from a pentium 133mhz w/ MMX, to a pentium 3 733mhz, and now i'm at pentium 4 2.66mhz, overclocked to 3.2mhz, its my laptop, but i use it as a desktop seeing as my brother spilled crap all over my keyboard, one week after the warrenty went out >.> It would cost me $300 to replace the damn thing, so i just connected a wireless keyboard and was good to go lol, i have a bigger fan installed in it, and another one of those medium sized portable ones blowing on it, i get tempatures upwards of 85 degrees celcius, not too bad, seeing as it's a laptop thats overclocked o.o though if i were to turn off the fans it shoots up to 120 and shuts off heh
