i want to use the computer on our bigscreen inour living room, but cant find a good converter, i have been looking around for scan convnverters but cant find a decent priced one, and im looking for pc cards, but there not that great when it comes to reading text on the TV, any one have any suggestions.

I had the same sort of problem to solve. I bought a PCI GeForce2 with TV out (both composite and S-Video) and used that. It cost me about $150 Australian dollars.

Hi pcguy you can get the Nvidia 64MB Excalibur Geforce 2 MX400 - with TV OUT for about £30 or a true tc card go for a Hauppauge Nova-T PCI TV Card around £100

any geforce with a tv out would pretty much do it...
