want to create my own custom avatar but don't know much about it.
I understand photoshop 7 is a good starting point. But I am running windows 98 2nd ed. and I think you need windows 2000.
Should I download photoshop 6 or any other program?
Where do I start?

There are several appz that are good for this:
Photoshop 6 or 7 (I think obth work on 98SE just fine...)
Jasc Paintshop Pro
Macromedia Fireworks (either the 4.0 or MX work well)
You can get them all on **cough*kazaa*cough**
But they are all good programs - buy them if you like them.
As far as I'm aware - all the proggies listed above will run on a 98SE Box - Not win95 though.[.home] [.faq] [.search] [.active] [.chat] [.hitrax]

thanks again mate!
hey, sounds like your coming down with a cold. hope you'll be alright. There were a few words in your last post that I couldn't. These ones - " buy programs"? Oh well I'll figure it out.
Oh, do I need a picture to start off with? any ideas where to get some good ones? Or do I just start from scratch?Lucky # 7 of the Nameglowers
