The BlackBerry Z30 featuring Verizon's logo on the back has been leaked on numerous occasions before, giving us clear hints that the carrier in question will soon launch the device on its network. Well, the moment of truth is here, as Verizon has now made the launch date of the device official.

As such, Big Red will start offering the BlackBerry Z30 online starting with tomorrow, November 14. Prospective customers will have the option of buying the handset at the price of $199.99 on-contract. Unfortunately, if you're looking on buying the gadget from other carriers in the States, then this won't be an option. Despite previous reports, and despite Sprint's announcement this summer that it will offer the Z30 in November, it appears that the smartphone in question is going to be offered exclusively through Verizon. Hopefully, this exclusivity will be limited, but for now, that doesn't seem to be the case.

So what is the BlackBerry Z30 anyway, and what it has to offer for its price-tag? On short, the device boasts a 5 inch Super AMOLED screen with a resolution of 720 x 1280, resulting in a pixel density of 295 pixels per inch. The smartphone is being powered by a dual-core Snapdragon S4 Pro CPU clocked at 1.7 GHz, an Adreno 320 graphics chip and 2 GB of RAM. The Z30 packs 16 GB of on-board storage, but users can expand by up to an additional 64 GB via microSD. On the back panel resides an 8 MP camera with LED flash, complemented by a front-facing 2 MP sensor.

The BlackBerry Z30 will come with BlackBerry 10.2 OS out of the box, and it's being powered by a Li-Ion 2,880 mAh battery, promising up to 384 hours of stand-by time, and up to 25 hours / 18 hours of talk time on 2G and 3G respectively.

That's pretty much all there is to it, so if you're planning on buying the BB Z30 once it hits Verizon's virtual shelves tomorrow, then keep an eye out on the carrier's website, and feel free to share your thoughts on the device by leaving a comment below.

No reason to get a touch screen BB. The only saving grace for the company in these dark times is the Q10. They should bring the qwerty keyboards back with a bang for the new year.
