Earlier last month, rumors and leaks surrounding the so-called "LG G Pro Lite Dual" have started hitting the blogosphere. Now, the gadget in question has been officially announced by the Korean manufacturer, so let's take a look at what we can expect.

On short, the LG G Pro Lite is an entry-level variant of the full-fledged LG G Pro that got released earlier this year. Although the exact price of the device has not been announced yet, based on the hardware specifications, the G Pro should arrive at a more affordable price than its older sibling.

Spec-wise, the G Pro Lite features an IPS LCD 5.5 inch display featuring a resolution of 540 x 960 and a pixel density of 200 pixels per inch, a MediaTek MT6577 dual-core processor clocked at 1.0 GHz, a PowerVR SGX531 graphics chip, and 1 GB of RAM. Furthermore, the G Pro Lite delivers 8 GB of internal storage expandable by up to 32 GB through a microSD card slot. In the media department, the device packs an 8 MP main camera boasting autofocus, face detection, LED flash and panorama among other features, and there's also a 1.3 MP secondary sensor on the front panel. The entire package is being powered by a 3140 mAh battery, and the handset arrives with Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean out of the box.

Aside from these raw hardware specs, one of the most pleasant surprises is that the LG G Pro Lite comes with a stylus pen that can be slotted within the case. Hopefully, the LG proprietary user interface will include various apps and features to go hand-in-hand with the stylus. I should also mention that the gadget is indeed dual-SIM capable, and that it will be offered in both black and white.

As far as availability goes, LG plans on launching the G Pro Lite in Latin America later this month, after which the gadget will hit the market in Russia, China, India, parts of Asia and the Middle East.

Would anyone be interested in this particular device? What would you consider to be the right price for the G Pro Lite?
