Motorola Flipside gets an update to Froyo 2.2

It's not the newest versiono of Android, but the Motorola FLIPSIDE has received the Android 2.2 Froyo update. This update will not be OTA (over-the-air), but will require you to download and install with a computer.

Before you do the update, Motorola suggest that you have your device fully charged with your microSD card of at least 100MB of free space and that your phone has a minimum of 40MB of free space.

Some of the things you can expect from the update are: storing of apps, speed improvements, Adobe Flash support, three customizable homescreens, Dialer search, updated Gallery's UI, new pre-installed apps which include: Google Search, News and Weather, Places, Task Manager, Files and Latitude. Also with the update you will be able to sync your contacts, messaging and social network updates with the integration of Linkedln accts.
