Following the launch of the entry-level ZTE Awe, Virgin Mobile has announced and just recently released the higher-end ZTE Supreme. The handset in question arrives at a competitive price and bundles a handful of interesting hardware features, so if that's what you're looking for in a smartphone, then you may want to learn what the Supreme has to offer.

The device packs a 5 inch display with a resolution of 1280 x 720, a 1.5 GHz dual-core processor and a microSD card slot that allows you to expand the storage by up to an additional 64 GB (information about the on-board storage seems to be missing from the spec-sheet). The gadget also packs a 13 MP main camera with 1080p video recording capabilities, and a 1 MP front-facing sensor. Much like the ZTE AWE, the Supreme arrives with Android 4.1 Jelly Bean out of the box. Last but not least, the handset benefits from Bluetooth 4.0 connectivity, and it's being powered by a 2,500 mAh battery.

As far as the price goes, the Supreme is available for purchase off-contract from Virgin Mobile, alongside a "Beyond Talk" plan which can set you back $35, $45 or $55 a month. The $35 plan offers 300 minutes of talk, unlimited data and unlimited messaging. The $45 plan offers 1200 minutes as well as unlimited minutes and data, and the $55 plan offers unlimited everything. The addition of Mobile Hotspot will cost you $15 more.

While the ZTE Supreme is not what we'd normally call a top-tier flagship device, it does come with a lower price than the majority of 5-inch smartphones. It seems like a decent budget all-rounder.
